This is Mr. Buelter's 8th year at SSMS. Previously he taught at
Steamboat Springs High School in the social studies department.
He earned a Masters degree from Adams State College and received his
Principal Endorsement at the University of Wyoming in 2003.
He thinks middle school students are really cool(!) and enjoys his days
visiting with as many of them as he can. His yearly goal is to know every
student in the middle school and sometimes he is successful. He believes
school should be a place where we all enjoy learning something new every
day. He firmly believes in the CODE and tries to live by being respectful
and resposible while practicing safety and self-control.
Mr. Buelter is a devout Bronco fan and you will find him attending the home
games at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. He likes to play golf (when he
can), fish (when they are willing, when they are not he loves to water ski)
and participate in team sports even though he sat out this softball season.
Mr. Buelter has two boys, Wayne (who is saving money(?) for wrestling camp)
Darian (a junior at Steamboat Springs High School who loves football,
basketball and lacrosse), and a step-daughter Chutney (a lovely freshman
starting college this fall).
He is married to Carole, a beautiful cowgirl from the state of Wyoming. She
teaches math at the high school, while looking after her two companions,
Lucy and Jezebel.
Our primary goal is to ensure that every student learns at a high level. We
know that learning can take shape in a variety of situations and through a
wide assortment of experiences.
