I grew up in Big Rapids, Michigan. This small city is celebrated by the
local university (Ferris State University). After a year at Ferris I moved
off to the Gunnison Valley in south central Colorado. There I attended
Western State College and skied the epic slopes on Mt. Crested Butte.
At Western State I studied biology and education. In the spring of 2002 I
recieved by bachelors degree in Biology. I'm now a proud local in the
surreal city of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I enjoy fast rides down
"white-out" at Steamboat Ski area and running in the crisp mountain air.
As a teacher it is my duty to leave an impression that will excite students
about life and learning. The students I teach will develop
an understanding and appreciation for nature and our earthly
surroundings. They will also be taught the power of mathematics
and how math can be used in many lifetime problem-solving
situations. Overall, I strive to help my students become better
individuals, decision-makers, and citizens.
