| After being frequently asked by Steamboat parents and students about
suitable books and materials in Spanish, here is the first opportunity to
purchase quality Spanish bilingual books and music from Scholastic
through the new Club Leo ( I can read in Spanish). Purchase is
voluntary and does not replace your classroom teachers scholastic
order. I usually recommend items with a CD or cassette that will enable
your child to listen to the text or music, an essential part of the beginning
stages of reading in a new language and the first step to independent
reading in Spanish. Here is how it works: I will send a flyer home with
your child every month or every other month. Make sure to let your child
know you would like a flyer - not every child takes one! Make your
selections, fill out the order form and quantity and include a check for the
total made out to Scholastic Books, no cash please. Return with your
child to me by the date on the flyer. Orders take about 10 days to return.
