Parents' Support

Did you know that the Spanish program currently being offered at the
Elementary schools is almost 100% funded by the PTIC and PIC at both
schools and by you the parents? You can be an important part of your
child's education and the continued success of the Elementary foreign
language program by purchasing Safeway gift/grocery cards. Grocery
cards are sold at 8th Street West located downtown on Main Street - you
cannot buy our cards from Safeway!!! Cards are sold in $100.00
increments and for every $100.00 you buy Safeway donates 5% back to
our Spanish program. More than half our funds are raised just by going
grocery shopping! Cards have no expiration date, can be used at any
Safeway store for any purchase, and make great family or corporate
gifts. If you have any questions simply call a PIC or PTIC rep at your
school or call 8th Street West today. If you do not shop at Safeway
donations are always accepted as are your time and energy to be a part
of the Spanish committee. Last Spring the Spanish committee and
parents from Soda Creek and Strawberry Park hosted a silent auction to
raise money for the program. Thanks to all who donated their time,
silent auction items, or attended La Gran Fiesta last April. It was a lot of
fun and a huge success. For more information on how to get involved
contact Brad Piske at 870-6492 or Bette Van Dahl at 8th Street West.
Gracias por su apoyo!
