Students going into the 6th grade this fall must have received a Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) Vaccination according to Colorado State Immunization requirements. Other vaccines against Meningococcus, Meningitis, Hepatitis A & HPV (females only) are also recommended for adolescents at age 11. If your soon-to-be 6th grader has not been vaccinated yet, plan to do this over the summer at your regular health care provider or at the VNA (879-1632). The VNA provides drop-in adolescent immunization clinics every Thursday from 2-4 PM (no appointment) or on other days by appointment. At the VNA, no child will be refused a vaccination due to an inability to pay and no routine children’s vaccine exceeds $14.
