This is my second year of teaching at Strawberry Park Elementary.  I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University and my teaching license at Metropolitan State College of Denver.  I got married over the summer and am still adjusting to my new name.  My new family consists of two dogs and a cat for now. In my free time I enjoy fly-fishing, camping, skiing, and walking with my dogs.

Based on my youthful appearance it’s hard to believe I’ve been teaching for almost 20 years.  In that time I’ve taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and multiage classrooms (but 3rd grade is my hands down favorite).  My son Sam is a 4th grader here at SPE, my daughter Hannah has moved onto middle school and my husband Clay is part owner of Northwest Data Services/Phone Tech USA. In the summer I enjoy hiking, gardening, and playing with my family. During the school year work and parenting pretty much occupy my time.

My teaching career started 10 years ago at Strawberry Park. In that time I have taught 4/5 multiage and 3rd grade. I just completed my masters in curriculum over the summer.  I have been married for three wonderful years to my husband Drew who owns Strictly Blinds. We have no children at the time, nor plans for them, but have two cats and an energetic dog. When not at school, I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, snowshoeing, and getting facials.
