Greetings Third Grader,
Welcome to grade three! I hope that you had a fun-filled summer. I am very
happy to have you in class and look forward to meeting you. On Wednesday
August 27, between 2:30 and 3:00, you are welcome to visit me in your new
classroom.
You will have a great time learning and exploring new ideas. I am looking
forward to a year of rich classroom experiences. My summer was spent with my
family and black Labrador Retriever relaxing at the beach, at the pool, and
reading. Did you read some interesting books? I look forward to hearing
about the wonderful stories you read. Please bring in a picture of your
favorite part of your book. Write a few sentences including the title and
author, describe your picture, and remember to share why this was your
favorite part. We’ll be hanging up the illustrations and descriptions in our
classroom the first week of school.
The supplies you will need for third grade are:
Package of 4 Expo Dry Erase Markers
4 yellow Hi-Liters
1 pocket file folder
crayons (48 pack or smaller), markers, and colored pencils
4 glue sticks
scissors
2 boxes of sharpened #2 pencils
3 extra large book covers (non-stick)
2 composition books (marble)
Donations:
roll of paper towels
large box of tissues
unscented baby wipes
Please do not bring Trapper Keepers as there is not space for them. Also you
will need a small, healthy snack each day.
Please feel free to bring in your supplies and or donations on August 27th
when you come in to visit me in our classroom. It may be easier for you and
you can also organize your new desk while you are here.
