The Eric Carle Museum of Picture
Book Art opened in Amherst,
Massachusetts on November 22, 2002.
The Beauchene family was there to
visit the new museum and to meet
Eric Carle.

Mr. Carle made a presentation to the
public in a heated tent outside the
museum.

Mr. Carle asked for the audience's
favorite animals. The drawing at the
right was the result.

It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Carle.
He is a very pleasant gentleman who
is obviously very proud of his
museum.
