I've been teaching here since the 1999 school year. After working as
a paraprofessional for many years, I went back to college for my degree
in special education.
I really enjoy traveling, visiting my seven grandchildren, and learning
to do new things. Last year, students learned about fulgurites with me;
this year we are studying hurricanes, fossils and health topics, among
other academic subjects.
Nothing pleases me more than seeing a child become successful at
what previously was a stumbling block and a downer for him. It's such a
thrill for a teacher when all of a sudden a student says, "This is easy!
Now I get it!"
