| I assign homework every night except Friday. Monday-Thursday I typically
assign a Math worksheet and Spelling activity. These activities provide
extra practice in areas we have covered in class. If your child has
difficulty and reaches his/her frustration level STOP, and write me a note
right on the HW to let me know. I never want to push a student on HW when it
becomes too frustrating! I ask that you check and sign your child's homework
assignment sheet nightly.
Weekly Reading Log: I encourage students to read for 15 minutes every
night. These minutes also count towards the PTA reading incentive program.
Students have a Reading Log they keep in their take-home folders all week.
They will fill out the date, title and author of the book read, minutes
read, and parents will initial them each night. I collect it on Mondays so
weekend minutes can be recorded.
