Homework

This page will display a typical week's homework.  It will be updated for 
specific long-term assignments.
Students must write down homework assignments each day.  This will be 
reviewed and signed by the teacher.  It is preferred that the parents 
initial the assignment pad nightly to ensure the students complete the 
homework nightly.

Monday
Reading/Writing:  15 minutes of reading with a journal response
Spelling: Spelling Packet (due Thursday)
Math:  Given by specific math teacher daily

Tuesday
Reading/Writing:  15 minutes of reading with a journal response
DOL (dialy oral language/grammar):  sentences completed by students and 
reviewed in class.  These are to be used to study for Friday's quiz.
Spelling:  Spelling Packet (due Thursday)
Math:  Given by specific math teachers daily

Wednesday
Reading/Writing:  15 minutes of reading with a journal response
Spelling: Spelling Packet (due Thursday) and Study for Spelling Test
Math:  Given by specific math teachers daily

Thursday
Reading/Writing:  15 minutes of reading with a journal response
Spelling:  Spelling Test every Thursday unless told otherwise
Math:  Given by specific math teachers daily

Friday
Reading/Writing:  30 minutes of reading over the weekend with one journal 
response
DOL (daily oral language/grammar): quiz typically given on Friday.
Spelling:  Spelling Packets are distributed weekly.  New Spelling Packets 
are given each Friday - students are not required to work on this over the 
weekend - it is optional for those students with busy weekday schedules due 
to extracurricular activities.  The packet is due the following Thursday.
Math:  Typically no homework is given on Fridays.
