I have been teaching in and around Milford for going on seven years. This
is my fourth year teaching at Calf Pen Meadow and my third year in Grade 5.
I am so happy I found my way to the fifth grade, as it is my favorite grade
to teach!
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Economics, a minor
in Marketing, and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
My husband, Martin, and I live in Milford and have two children; both are
attending middle school this year.
Simon, our a seven-year-old Schnauzer, is the newest member of our family.
When I am not in the classroom, I typically can be found trying out a new
recipe, reading or writing in my journal, or playing with my kids.
Room 29's Mission Statement:
Students in Room 29 will learn in a safe and nurturing classroom
environment where they will be praised for efforts and challenged on a
daily basis. All students are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, be
creative, and celebrate their individuality and uniqueness. Developing a
life-long love of learning is my mission for the students.
Our class will abide by a "Code of Conduct" that they have developed. It
boils down to respecting themselves, respecting their peers, respecting the
teaching and nurturing adults around them, and respecting their community.
Mutual respect and appreciation of each other is our students' primary
mission for themselves.
My favorite word is RESPECT - as long as people show respect, everything
else falls into place.
