I am proud to be a Kindergarten here at Calf Pen Meadow. I enjoy
working at our school and hope that you and your child enjoy your time
here!
I received an Associate in Science Degree in Early Childhood from
Becker Junior College in 1990, a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from
Southern Connecticut State University in 1994, and a Master's Degree in
Reading and Literacy from Lesley University in 2004.
My daughter was born August 1, 2006, so in addition to teaching your child, I am also learning how
to be a new Mom, too! My husband and I have been married since 2001, and we enjoy spending
time with our family and friends.
I love working with your children-- their enthusiasm and literal thinking
always keep me thinking! I enjoy using new techniques in my
classroom, and I work hard at trying to engage children in ways
that truly match their learning styles. Whether it be through music,
writing, speaking, or using manipulatives, we are always learning in
Room 6!
My mission for the class is for every child to walk away from
Kindergarten knowing and utilizing more knowledge than what they did when
they started. Everyone can learn something, and we all can learn from
each other. I hope to instill in my students that there is more than one
way to find an answer, and we all need to work together to truly make
"Peace on Earth"!
