I'll provide most of what we'll need, like folders, notebooks, 
pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, erasers, and scissors.  
I know that 3rd graders love to have their own stuff, so I've listed 
some ideas of what you might like to send in for your child to keep 
in his/her desk.  It would be very helpful to label items with name 
or initials in permanent marker.

PLEASE don't send Trapper Keepers or similar large notebooks as they 
will not fit in the desks.  Also, history has shown that 3rd graders 
have had to spend way too much time picking up the spilled contents 
of their plastic pencil boxes, so zippered pencil cases are greatly 
preferred!  Finally, please don't send small staplers, pencil 
sharpeners or other gadgets.  They're way too distracting.  Thanks!
