SPECIAL PROJECTS (8th gr)

Careers in Science

Think about the topics in science you have studied or just something that you
have read or maybe seen during shark week on TV.  The options and possibilites
for a career in science seem ENDLESS!  If you were interested in pursuing a
career in science, what would it be?  Why would you choose this area?  What 
are some of the personal qualities someone would need for this career path?  
What educational qualifications would you need?


TASK:

You are invited to attend our annual Science Career Day.  You will need to 
set-up an area to display your career.  You want to inform visitors about 
your specific career.  Bring a poster with a colorful title, pictures, and 
various details of information about a career in this field.



FCA:  Create an outline to support your poster include the following:

Outline should be constructed as a pre-writing organizer.

Explanation of career, why it is interesting to you, personal qualities 
needed for this career, educational requirements, and optional items such as: 
salary, who hires, and outlook for positions.
