Is lunch served on early dismissal days?

In general, yes. However, the day before Christmas vacation and the last 
day of school lunch is not served.

Where is our room located?

It is located in the first (main) floor at the front of the building. 
Students, if you enter the building at the main entrance near the parking 
lot go up a half flight of stairs, turn left and proceed straight down the 
hall to our room. There is a red, white, and blue banner hanging by our door.
If you arrive late you will have to enter through the office door to the 
left of the main entrance.

What time does the school day begin and end?

Students should arrive between 7:56 and 8:06 each day. They should 
not arive before 7:56 as there is no supervision before that time. 
Students must be in their classroom at 8:06 to be "on time." Our 
dismissal time is 2:37. Early dismissal days is at 11:45.

Where should I drop off or pick up my child?

If you are dropping off or picking up your child at the start or end of the 
school day you should use the church parking lot across the street from 
the school. Students enter and exit the building from the left side of the 
building. 
If you are picking up your child during the school day or after 3:00 p.m. 
you may use the school parking lot. Enter the building through the 
'OFFICE' entrance by the parking lot. It is the door with the glass 
enclosure to the left of the main entrance.

Can we send in a treat for our child's birthday?

Yes, please send in an item that is quick and easy to pass out such as 
cupcakes, brownies, popsicles, or ice cream. We do not turn it into a 
party, just a part of their snack time. At this time I am not aware of any 
special considerations for allergies.

Pierson will begin at 10:00 in the event of a "delayed opening."

Do books have to be covered?

Any hard cover books must be kept covered all year. Brown paper bags 
work just fine. If a cover wears out it must be replaced.
