Enrichment assemblies are funded by Cranbury families using the monies we raise from the fundraisers we hold thoughout the year. Several programs are provided throughout the year to "edutain" our children. These performances help to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom in an highly entertaining way. Past performances have included magicians, authors, dance troupes, cyclists/stuntpersons, musicians, artists, laser shows and more
Our next PTO-sponsored Enrichment program of 2009/2010 school year will be on January 8th
Featuring
Cool Cat Jazz and the Roots of Jazz
Comprised of some of the most talented musicians on the East Coast, Cool Cat Jazz injects new twists and turns into old tunes, often switching gears to present more contemporary music in traditional jazz stylings.
The members have been performing New Orleans Jazz, Big Band Swing, Gospel, and Mardi Gras party music throughout the region since 1980. Well known for their high-energy entertaining style, Cool Cat Jazz educational programs are filled with audience participation, and their outrageous humor attracts young audiences wherever they perform. The “Cats” present over 150 youth celebrations and educational concerts annually.
The Cool Cats will present their performance, "The Roots of Jazz – Spirituals to Swing", designed especially for grades K-6 at Cranbury school on Jan 8th.
