Daily students are required to read for 15 minutes as part of their homework assignment. This reading needs to be logged on the reading record and signed by a parent or guardian to verify the student completed the required reading. Weekly a packet of homework will come home on Mondays and be due back to school on Fridays. Directions for the homework will come on the front of the packet. Packets will include spelling lists (to practice for the test on Friday)reading records, written response to reading and math practice. I have tried to include the math pages in the packet on the appropriate days (after we have covered the lesson) but every now and then we may not get to a lesson, in which case please complete it the next day. *Students will have to complete the math homework page from the workbook, when it is assigned and return it with the packet on Friday.* Reading records are to record what is read nightly (include chapters or page numbers) and is on the front of homework packets. * Reading logs are for completed books only and are to be returned to school to be placed in portfolios when they are filled.* Book reports and show and tell share assignments will be given at the beginning of the year (first week) and will be due on the designated dates monthly.
