REMEMBER My homeroom students have to look at Mrs. LePage's Web Page for 
their Math homework.

**In addition to the homework listed below, students should be reading a 
minimum of 20 minutes each night and recording the time in their Agenda 
calender.

*To help you with Tuesday night Language Homework:

Simile- is a statement comparing things using the words like or as. 
        Example:  The snow is like frosting.

Metaphor - is also a statement comparing things.  A metaphor says that one
thing is another thing; it does not use like or as.
       Example:  The snow was frosting.

Personification - is a statement that attributes a human trait or action to a
nonliving thing.
       Example:  The snow tucked a white blanket over the lawn.

Hyperbole- is a statement of exaggeration.
      Example:  The snow was piled in mountain-high drifts.
