How are students identified for the TAG Program?

Students identified for TAG are in the top 5% of the total Trumbull Public
Schools population for that grade level. These students demonstrate
exemplary ability in creativity and facility of ideas, intellectual
curiosity, motivation, task commitment, independence and responsibility. An
Identification Team or Planning and Placement Team reviews the data from
standardized test scores, which include OLSAT and CMT, and teacher rating
scales, to determine if a student is eligible to participate
in the TAG Program.
