9/9- We read "Sucker" today and began our discussion. Parents, I know I
promised to give your child homework tonight, but we didn't get far enough in
our discussion to warrant homework. Fear not, for they WILL get some homework

should be reading daily. Also, don't forget that you should have your free
reading book with you everyday!
9/11- Do the Responding to the Story worksheet (Version 2) - remember that it
is available in the handout section of this website. Also, the text (so you
can use quotes) is also in the handout section.
9/12- Your homework was collected. Then you took the Maze test today.
Afterwards you had a minor pop-quiz on the parts of a plot line.
We began discussion as part of our introduction for our first novel.
