Are students required to keep a science notebook?

Students must have a folder, a section of a binder or a separate notebook to
keep all science papers in one area. Students WILL NOT be handing in
notebooks as students have done in past years, but should retain papers to
refer to when studying for quizzes and tests.

When can I dispose of science papers?

Once a unit has been completed and a student does not owe any past work, then
papers can be "filed". I will notify students when a unit is complete and if
any work is owed.

Are there materials that can be sent in from home?

YES! Periodically children will be asked to bring in items.
Grade 6 students make many weather instruments from every day items. We use
baby food jars, plastic water bottles (with caps)to name just two.

How can I contact the teacher, Mrs. Wasserman?

telephone 860-365-4060

school email vwasserman@easthamptonct.org (keep in mind there is a filter
system on the school email and it can take up to 24 hours for a message to get
through).

OTHER email vwasserman@hotmail.com (easiest because it does not go through
the filter system and I can access it from anywhere)

Is it true that grade 6 science textbooks should be kept at HOME?

Yes! We are fortunate to have enough copies of the text that students may keep
the text they were assigned at home. This will help to lesson the weights in
student backpacks. Texts are available at school in flex periods if students
want to work on assignments.
