What materials should I have?
You should ALWAYS have two pencils, a correcting pen or pencil, a
highlighter, a ruler, and paper for note-taking.

What about assignments? Are they hard? What if I don't do them?
I try to give homework every night. I do not like "busy work" and so I try
to make the assignments ones that will make you think! If you try hard, show
your work, and work for 20 minutes you will get full credit and a grade of
100%, EVEN if you get several problems incorrect! If you don't do your
homework, I'll give you zero and will expect you to stay and complete the
assignment after school that day.

What if I do poorly on a test or quiz?
Because this is the first year you are doing Pre-Algebra, I want you to come
and retake poor tests and quizzes. I will help you until you achieve at
least a 90% on the material. Why? I want you to understand these new and
sometimes difficult concepts. After you complete the retake, I will average
the two grades together for a new average. Doesn/t that sound nice?

What if I don't understand the homework?
You can always call me at home. I have given you my home number and I'd love
to help you over the phone. You may also come in early before school or stay
after any day but Wednesday.
