Welcome to the Fox Run School Family Resource Center, a place where families
can get assistance to raise and educate their children.
We are located in Room B-7 of the B wing in Fox Run Elementary School,
Norwalk Connecticut. The Family Resource Center (or FRC) is open Monday
through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on days when school is open. The
FRC is also open during the summer months and on a limited scedule during
school vacation weeks (click on "Calendar" tab to the left to view hours
during vacation weeks).
Do you have a question concerning your child? Need help finding quality
childcare, health insurance, adult classes,or summer programs? Facing a
particular challenge in your parenting? We're here to help. We are all
parents too and we know lots of resources within the greater Norwalk
community to help you.
Among the many services we offer are:
Afterschool Enrichment programs for Fox Run students in grades K -5. Classes
meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons between 2:50 and 3:50 p.m.

Ages & Stages developmental screenings for children age 4 months to 60
months(5 years).
Early Connections groups that meet in the Family Resource Center (Room B-7).
Early Connections groups are open to all future Fox Run students age birth to
5 accompanied by a parent, grandparent or care provider. During group
meetings, FRC staff are available to answerquestions about child
development. We use the research-based Born to Learncurriculum for handouts
and information. Our philosophy is thatParents are a child's first and most
influential teachers.
Programs for Norwalk daycare providers: We offer a free newsletter,
called Family Care, for Norwalk grandparents, nannies, babysitters and
others providing childcare. Special events, field trips and classes are
also offered throughout the year; check our CALENDAR to the left for the
latest offerings. To be on our mailing list, please email us with your name,
complete address, and phone number(s). Funding for daycare provider programs
is provided by the Norwalk Early Childhood Council Quality Enhancement
Initiative.
