What is the lab about?

The lab is a place where students can learn strategies to make their writing 
better in a non-critical environment. The students are currently working 
through a series of individualized programs that are scientifically proven to 
improve instruction.

Do I have to take it?

Yes, every freshman and sophomore must take lab for two years.

Do we get credit for lab?

Yes, you get a total of .5 credits for both Math and LA Lab.

Professionalism: 10%

Why do you play games in the lab?

Did you know that students often learn better when physical activity is 
added to the class? The 
Language Arts Lab is currently trying an experiment where students develop 
games that 
incorporate questions into physical games. We have been outside playing 
HORSE or on their 
skateboards and inside playing Clue-like games. So far it is a fun 
experiment that we want to 
continue.
