Is there any homework in Art Class?
There is no formal homework in Art. Students who are absent from
class or who fall behind, may need to make arrangements to stay after
school to complete work owed.
--------------------------------------
What happens if one or more Art projects are not completed?
If the work has not been completed due to student illness or special
family circumstances, arrangements can be made to make up missing
work. If the student doesn’t use available opportunities to complete
work, the student’s grade will be lower than the average for the work that
was completed.
--------------------------------------
What if an Art project is not completed by the end of the marking period?
The student's Art average and therefore grade will be lowered. If the
work is completed within about two weeks of the end of the marking
period, the student's grade will be recalculated and changed.

What happens to my child's work after a project is completed?
Sometimes artwork is saved for possible inclusion in a school or district
Art show. At other times, the teacher may ask who would like to give the
teacher their work as a sample to show other classes.

Are there any public displays of art work?
Every year Milford celebrates the excellent work of its student artists and
musicians. Check the Milford Board of Education calendar or the Harborside
calendar for dates. If your child's work is selected for the Art show, you
will receive an invitation to view your work at the opening night event. It
is held at Parson's Complex.
In 2006, we also held two single evening art shows at Barnes & Noble on the
Post Road near the mall. We are also looking into this for 2007.
