| Greetings from Room 15!
Mrs. Holmes is a certified teacher of Science in Connecticut for grades
7-12. She has 34 years of experience working with Milford's young teens
in Grades 7 and 8. A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University,
she holds a Master of Science Degree in Biology and a Professional
Studies Degree in Administration and Supervision. An avid gardener,
Mrs. Holmes also earned a certificate in Horticulture from Naugatuck
Valley Community College. More recently she has become a BEST
Science Portfolio scorer for the state, and also mentors beginning
science teachers. In 2003 Mrs. Holmes recieved National Board
Certification in Science. Mrs. Holmes became an Adjunct Professor
in the MAT program at Quinnipiac University in 2006.
Our Grade 7 Science curriculum includes many themes through four main
fields of study: Cell Biology, Human Biology, Earth Science and Basic
Science Skills.
Each week you will be challenged by activities or laboratory experiments in
our Science room!
