The 1st trimester ends Friday, December 4.
I encourage my students to take responsibility for their math work and behavior choices; As they mature into more independent children, I try to work with them to resolve any concerns. If however a student shows a pattern of poor choices involving homework or behavior, I will contact a parent so that together we may help the student achieve success.
FYI...In January, kids will take a midterm exam that will reflectskills mastered during the first half of the year. A final exam will follow in May or June. Kids will have study guides for each one.
It is helpful if kids bring pencils and erasers to class everyday and develop the important habit of being prepared for class, but if a child does not have them, I supply them.
Participating in class by listening and asking questions is important for school success!
Here's how a math grade is calculated:
Homework: 10%
Classwork: 20%
Quizzes: 30%
Tests/Projects: 40%
