Will there be homework every night?
No, but there will frequently be long-term assignments, especially map
quizzes and tests that should be studied for in small, nightly sessions. The
online software in the links section will be helpful for this.

Are projects done in this class?
Yes, I strongly believe that hands-on work is important for many reasons. I
do most projects during class time. Some are group projects, some are
individual. For group projects, each student is graded strictly on his or
her own contributions to the final product. They begin with a contract that
spells out what they have agreed to do for their part of the assignment. How
much they do and the quality of what they do will determine their final
grade. Their grade will not ever depend upon the work anyone else does, so
no one's grade will be "dragged down" or "uplifted" by someone else's
efforts. I conference with the groups throughout the process and they are
part of the final evaluations.

I have traveled or lived in other places, may I share my experiences?
Yes, please let me know if you are willing to share the world with the
students. I will schedule a time and date at your convenience. There is
nothing better than to hear from someone with first-hand knowledge of the
world.

Is extra help offered?
Extra help is available whenever a student needs it. I will ask them to come
in during Learning Center or after school on Tuesday or Thursday. They can
request extra help at any time and I will schedule them as soon as possible.
