HEALTH EDUCATION
2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR
Grade 6 students will be attending health classes 1 day per week in a 4 day rotation for the entire school year. Our units of study for the school year will include the following:
Personal Safety
Tobacco, Alcohol and Other Drugs
Nutrition
Adolescent Development
Grade 7 and grade 8 students will be attending health classes 4 days per week in a 4 day rotation for 1 trimester. Our units of study for the trimesters will include the following per grade level:
Grade 7 Grade 8
Chronic/Communicable Diseases Mental/Emotional/Social Health
and Conflict Resolution/Violence
Prevention
