Hart Magnet School is a Responsive Classroom school. We work hard to make sure that our classrooms are working communities. At the beginning of the year, we focus our Social Studies unit on building these communities so that our days can run smoothly. We have guided discoveries within our classrooms so the children can understand how to use the items they will need throughout the year. We create class rules together, too. The children will also create their Hopes and Dreams for the school year. These are academic goals that the children will stive towards. All of these things give the children that sense of community that will make for a wonderful school year!
