Math

In October, we will learn many great skills through Everyday Math.  We will start off with creating number stories.  The children will provide the information and will include a question that has a proper key word (ex:  'in all' for addition stories and 'left' for subtraction stories).  The children will also explore double and double-plus-one facts.  We will also use the "What's My Rule" function to solve problems. 

Games this month are challenging and fun.  We will see who is faster, the 'Brain' or the 'Calculator' in Beat the Calculator.  We will also play Domino Top-It and Name that Number.  As a follow-up to Unit 1's Number Grid Game, we will play Number-Grid Difference Game.
