Welcome to a new school year!
Students in Kindergarten through grade Four are scheduled to visit the
library once a week, Monday through Thursday, with a rotation on Friday,see
below. Please mark your calendar so your child knows what day they have
library class. It is important for each student to return their book(s)on the
day or by the day they are scheduled for the library. If they are not
finished reading their library book by their next library class please have
them bring the book to school to be renewed, then they can use book check out
time (the last 10-15 minutes of class) to read.
Have your child locate their library book and put it by their backpack
or into their book bag* the evening before they have library. Doing this
together will show students how they can prepare themselves for their school
day and can lead to good habits that will help them throughout their school
career.
*Backpacks are not the best place for library books, see BOOK CARE. If books
are carried in the backpack please place them in a plastic bag first.
