Topic we will be covering this year in science: • Scientific Method/Overview of Inquiry based labs • The Human Body • Simple Machines • Earth’s Systems: Volcanoes, earthquakes, and others. • Food Preservation Student Expectations: • Please be courteous and respectful at all times to your fellow classmates and peers. Kindness gets you very far in life and in this class • Use good judgment and demonstrate proper behavior and language. • Class begins promptly. Get to class on time and have all materials out and ready to have a successful day. • Be prepared to participate and learn. • Homework is expected to be completed!!! • Abide by all School Rules and policies; they are there for our safety and well being. • LISTEN and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS at all times. You are in a science classroom-for your safety and the safety of others. • Quietly review work/assignments when finished. Grading System: Grades will be based on a total points system. Points will vary depending upon assignment. Your learner may want to keep track of their progress in their personal agenda. All grades will be posted by Student Identification number in my room. Parents are welcome to check their students grades anytime. I strongly encourage you to communicate with your child about their scores.
