Students in second grade are expected to spend about 15 minutes per day
on homework. Times may vary according to the student's interest level on a
particular activity. I always encourage a child to be challenged and
spend as much time on an activity as your schedule allows. However, if they
reach frustration level after 15 minutes, please let me know how I can help!
It is acceptable to guide your child and help them as well.
Please have your child read for pleasure on a daily basis too. This
can be done independently or as a special read aloud time with the family.
