The 6th grade students have "flown" to Spain and discovered that there are
many landforms to be found in Spain. They have learned these words both in
English and Spanish. Photo cards with names and an activity packet has been
given in class. Those students who did not finish the packet in 2 class
periods will need to complete the packet to improve the grade.

Students have visited Madrid and the regions of Extremadura, Murcia, and
Castilla de la Mancha. We have talked about art and Spanish artists as well as
the story of Don Quixote, which they are hearing now.
We have also visited the region of Castilla y León where I studied while in
college.
We reviewed our colors and are in the process of review the numbers 1-20 as
well as learning 20-100.
Along with the numbers, we read Build a Burrito (a counting book) and have
created the text for our own build a ... books. We will be illustrating these
over the next several classes.
Students should review the numbers 1-10 and how to spell the word for a quiz
that will be coming up during the week of 11/23 -11/25
