JFK Committees

Below is a brief description of the many committees within the JFK PTO.  If you would like to learn more about any committee listed below, please feel free to contact the appropriate committee head.  If you would like to head any of the open committees, please contact one of the Board members.

Dear Committee Chairs,

Thank you for volunteering your time to chair a PTO sponsored event.  It is because of parents like you that we are able to continue to have programs for the students of JFK.  While planning your event please be mindful of the following.  Any and all notices that are to be sent home to parents must first be approved by a PTO President as well as Mr. Smyth.

All copies can be made in the school office (see guidelines for copier use).   Additionally, you are responsible for finding volunteers for your event. The date for each event must be approved by Mrs. Carey in the office. There are many things that go on in the school and we cannot overlap with other activities.

As a chairperson, your presence is requested at all PTO meetings where your event will be discussed.  If circumstances arise and you cannot make a meeting, please let a president know and have a report ready. Finally, you must work within your budget.

Please feel free to contact either of your co-presidents with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

The JFK Executive Board
