Effort is the most important component of a child's grade in Physical
Education. I explained to the students at the beginning of the school year,
especially those in Grades 3-5, that I expect them to come to each class on
time, prepared and ready to participate with their best effort. Students
are also expected to follow class and school rules and to be respectful to
others, whether they be teachers, school staff or other students.
Grade 3-5 students will receive a letter grade that will reflect
participation in each class as well as a numerical grade for effort and
conduct.
Primary students will receive a numerical grade that will reflect their
overall progress and conduct.
