We are starting our unit on multiplication. It is very important that your children practice their math facts at home. There are many games you can play, even while driving in the car. This is your child's first introduction to multiplication. We are working on having the children see the correlation between aaddition and multiplication. We will be covering fractions and probability next.
It is imperative that the students are fluent with their addition and subtraction facts. It is also vital that students learn their multiplication facts, as they will be expected to be mastered by the beginning of fourth grade. Please practice telling time and counting money with your child at home. These skills should have been mastered in 2nd grade.
