Our first unit in Social Studies focuses on the geography of the United States, specifically the variety of landscapes and the major land forms and water features. We will also look at how natural resources influence people and how people change the environment.

The children should be reviewing the vocabulary from each lesson as it is introduced. There will be regular quizzes on these words. They should also be studying the map of each region as it is introduced.
