Dear Students and Parents,
I apologize for my absence today and regret to inform you that I will also
be absent tomorrow. I have been suffering from a virus since last week and
because I still have a fever, it is not wise for me (or allowed) to return
until I am fever free for 24 hours. Be assured that I am being cautious for
my own health as well as for your child's and will make every effort to
return on Wednesday.
Just a reminder:
Nature's Classroom will take place November 4-6th. The cost is currently
$213 per child. We are actively pursuing grants and donations in the
community to help bring that cost down. If you know of any organization that
would be willing to help us, please let me know. We have a letter drafted
for that purpose to share with you. If you are interested in having your
child attend and can pay in full, please do so at your earliest convienence.
Nature's Classroom is a science based experience for fifth graders in
Lakeside, CT. We will be hosting an information session for all interested
families in October. Be on the lookout for the date & time!
If you feel that your child would benefit from extra help,
right now I'm offering time before school starting at 8:30 on Mondays,
Tuesdays and Fridays (I have another committment on Wednesdays and
Thursdays). In addition, if you feel your child would benefit from
enrichment, they are welcome to come in at that time to work on independent
projects while I work with groups. If you would like your child's work to be
adjusted, please contact me and we will work together. My email is
