This September will begin my tenth year teaching at KT Murphy. It will be my
third year teaching first grade. I have taught kindergarten, second grade,
and also taught in an inclusion setting for three of those years. I love
teaching first grade because it is a very exciting year for children as they
learn to read. They have a natural enthusiasm about learning that is
contagious. I have an eleven year old daughter named Emily who will be
visiting from time to
time. We just became a new family with my husband, Adam, over the Christmas
break. We love to travel, camp, spend time together, and watch movies.
My mission for the class of 08/09 is for us to work together to help each
other reach our individual goals (both academic and personal). We will be
partnering with a fifth grade class to have reading buddies and to participate
in other group projects. We will have a fantastic year!
