| The following deadlines remain for Reading Counts: March 23, 2007, and May 25,
2007. Students must take the book quiz by the due date and score 70% or
better. Please discuss with your child how many books he/she has already read.
Remind your child that the book must be listed on the Reading Counts list
available in the media center and in room 19.
We are currrently working on the human body research paper. Your child has a
packet of complete information (including a schedule of in-class work
sessions) to use as a guide. It is assumed that your child will work on some
aspect of the report each night for homework in addition to the time spent in
class. If your child plans to type the final copy, typing must be done at
home. All rough copy sheets must be submitted with (but separate from) the
final report. The report must be your child's own work; you may help your
child find information, read/explain source information, and help proofread
the report.
I will most likely resume assigning book reports once the research paper is
complete.
