Fourth Graders in the starting the end of February for the Spring Concert.

Do children need to wear something special for the concert?
Yes, white or light tops and black or navy skirts or pants.

Why aren't younger children in Chorus?
The Milford Music Department feels young voices aren't developed enough to
sing in a large group and in the appropriate manner. We also feel that older
children possess certain behaviors that are more appropriate for singing in a
large group.
--------------------------------------
Why is everyone in the fourth or fifth grade expected to be in Chorus.
Our Music Curriculum states that children should perform in a group. We give
all children this opportunity. Otherwise they may never experience this kind
of performance.

Why do children wear black and white for the Concert.
This is known as formal concert attire and is worn by music groups in schools,
colleges, community groups and churches. It helps parents with getting their
children to dress appropriately for concerts with less difficulty. Girls often
dress for a prom and boys dress for playing outside. This attire keeps them
more alike and they look great.
