This is my 11th year teaching at MHHS! I taught special education for two
years and then fourth grade for one your before finally settling in here in
fifth grade (my favorite grade to teach). I have a mom, dad, brother Tommy
(he's 29), step mom, and step dad. I also have 3 snakes: Oreo, Bubblegum,
and Gemini.
I grew up in Queens, NY until I was 11 and then guess where I moved
to........NEW FAIRFIELD!!! I even went to school right here at MHHS! It was
a little different back then- there was no cafeteria, the downstairs art room
is where the library was, and upstairs were 6th graders! I went through this
school system (the Middle School was IN the high school) and graduated in
1995. Then I went to Marist College in Poughkeepsie and majored in
Psychology, Special Education, and Regular Education. It was a lot of work
but a lot of fun too. I graduated there in 1999 and started teaching at MHHS
that October. I have been here ever since. I don't live in New Fairfield
anymore, I'm in Danbury but I am always in town either at school or visiting
family. On Halloween, I stay at my mom's house and give out candy there.
I like to do a lot of things for fun. I do a lot of arts and crafts- I work
for a craft company called Stampin' Up. I am also in the "teacher" band
called Split Decision with Mr. G, Miss Burger, Bob, Mrs. Gilroy's husband,
and Mrs. Merkle's husband. I play the keyboard in the band and I like
playing all different funky sounds with it. I also love to read! My
favorite series is Harry Potter. The Twilight books are great too and so is
the Lightning Thief series. On TV, I like watching Spongebob, QVC, HSN,
Discovery Channel, and stuff like that.
Some of my favorite things are: Coffee, Purple, NY Yankees, Strawberry
Shortcake, Crayons, Shopping, Traveling, Reeses PB Cups, Sushi, Music
