PTA Committees...Join One Today and Make A Difference

Bestow-A-Book
This is a way that PTA can enrich our
Media Center and give Mathewson families and staff an opportunity to remember and pay tribute to others. A list is available from which you can purchase a book in honor of someone. A dedication label is placed inside that book indicating whom it was purchased for and who bestowed it. That book then becomes property of the Media Center and is added to their collection.

Membership
This committee helps recruit and retain new and existing PTA members.

Hospitality
Hospitality sets up refreshments at meetings and certain events. If you have flair for entertaining and party planning, you would love this committee.

Mathewson Monitor
Parent volunteers put together and distribute a monthly newsletter that you and your children will enjoy reading.

Sunshine
Sunshine does all of the nice things for the Mathewson administration and teachers. They stock welcome baskets, send cards and gifts when applicable, plan and execute different things for teacher appreciation week, and do many other assorted nice things throughout the school year.

Fine Arts
This is a committee consisting of parents and teachers working together to bring educational, exciting and fun programs to our school.

Beautification
Members of this committee volunteer to do projects around the school to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

Banners & PTA Bulletin Boards
This person creates and/or updates all of the teachers banners (outside each classroom) and Miscellaneous PTA banners. If you are creative, this is a great outlet and can be done from home.

Student Directory
September: Students information (name, address, phone numbers, teacher name, room #) is collected from all students. This information is compiled into a directory listed in alphabetical order. The directory is published to all students and faculty.

T-Shirts
A variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and fleeces are available to purchase and show your school spirit.
