School Vision and Mission

Mauro-Sheridan Interdistrict Magnet School collaborates with students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators and the community to create a rigorous yet nurturing academic environment that fosters respect, appreciation, responsibility and intellectual curiosity for the planet and its diverse inhabitants. By educating the whole child through ethical, psycho-social, physical and cognitive development, our dedicated team of professionals and parents will encourage the growth of world citizens who will effectively and creatively utilize advances in science to uphold and enhance human-centered values.

Mauro-Sheridan Science, Technology and Communications Interdistrict Magnet School prepares a diverse student body to communicate and collaborate as global thinkers through integrated, standards-based, authentic learning experiences that promote inquiry, discovery, application and invention. As a NASA Explorer School with a strong foundation in STEM disciplines, we seek to inspire students to become creative pioneers, explorers and leaders of the information technology age.
News to check!!

Our school is participating in the Hoops For Heart and Jump Rope For Heart programs provided by the American Heart Association. I sent home a parent letter along with the donation flyer this week to your child(s). Our school goal is to raise $300 to go to the American Heart Association for research and education initiatives that save lives in our community. The students are learning about kids who have “special hearts” and how to take care of our own hearts and live a long, healthy life. Thankyou, Ms. Rosa
