I've been teaching fifth grade at Meadowside for seven years. I have a
Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State
University. Some of my interests include playing the piano, hands-on science
experiments, and going to the movies.

I am also a Teacher Leader with the People-to-People Student Ambassador
Program. This past summer I traveled to Australia for 18 days. My delegation
made stops in Cairns, Alice Springs, and Sydney. We snorkeled at the Great
Barrier Reef, hiked around Ayer's Rock (Uluru) in "the outback", met
kangaroos and koalas face-to-face, and had a guided tour of the Sydney Opera
House. I had the opportunity to camp outdoors in the outback one night where
I witnessed the most brilliant night sky I have ever seen.
This year, I plan to share my travel experiences with my students and to
make them aware of the world outside of Milford, CT.

Using computers and utilizing computer technology in the classroom is
important to me.
My "Channel 25 News" broadcast is an attempt to expose students to 21st
century technology. This year, Ch.25 News will be "interactive" -- Viewers
will be able to "choose" which news stories they want to view and skip the
rest.
....that with enough time and effort ALL students can achieve academic
success.
Also, PARENTS play a HUGE part in their child's academic success.
(Click on the "PARENTS' FAQ" link for a list of ways in which parents help
their children become better students.)
