Dear Parents:
Welcome to second grade! I hope you find the following information helpful
in sending your child to school each day:
1. Entry bell is at 8:30 a.m. Any child who enters school after 8:31 a.m.
will be considered tardy.
2. Absences -- An excuse, written by a parent or guardian, is due on the date
your child returns to school. Please call school (783-3555) if your child
will be absent.
3. Dismissal is at 3:00 p.m. A note is required for any child who is not
returning home his / her usual way (i.e. being picked-up by an aunt, sitter,
etc. instead of taking the bus).
4. We will have a mid-morning drink / snack break (no glass bottles please).
5. Lunch period is from 11:50 - 12:20 p.m.
6. Please identify all of your child’s coats, boots, lunch boxes, etc.
7. Sneakers are required for Gym class on Wednesday.
8. Library will be on Friday. Please keep all library books in a safe place.
9. The "take home" folder, sent home with your child today, should be
returned to school daily. Classwork and notes will be put into the folders
each day and sent home in your child's book bag.
10. Please do not send birthday invitations into school. This practice only
hurts the feelings of those children not invited. A class list, including
home addresses, can be requested from the office.
11. Visit our classroom website for weekly homework, spelling lists and home
reading log, specialist schedules, along with classroom news and reminders.
