| Homework (Please refer to the notices sent home for further information)
1.Spelling
On the first night of the week, please have your child cut up the words
and place them into a sealed plastic bag. Have your child study the words
each night for the test on Friday. Please have your child keep each bag of
words in a safe place (shoebox) to practice throughout the year.
On day 2, please have your child write each spelling word three times.
Also, have your child write the selected number of words into sentences.
If this seems like too much for the second day, you may request to have one
page sent on Day 2 (writing the words 3 times each) and the other page
(writing the selected number of words into sentences) on Day 3. Please let
me know.
2.Take - Home reading books should be read each night with a parent
and brought back each day to exchange for a new book.
If your child has a chapter book., read a chapter each night until the
book is finished.
Parents, please remember to sign the Homework Book Log.
3. Math homework will be given occasionally to reinforce skills of
difficulty.
4. Your child will also receive a monthly calendar of activities. Please
have your child complete the attached sheet to be returned at the end of
each month.
